PAEDIATRIC DENTISTRY

At our clinic, the aim is to provide parents and children with perfect guidance so that dental problems don’t get to them.

Make your child see that a visit to the dentist is a positive experience and explain that it helps maintain good oral health.

By encouraging a positive attitude, you increase your child’s chances of regularly visiting the oral health professional throughout their life, and reduce the need for more invasive and potentially fear- and anxiety-producing treatments.

Prevention is the best solution for strong, healthy teeth.

When your child’s first teeth are born, see a paediatric dentist.

The earlier you start daily oral hygiene habits, the better the chances are of avoiding oral diseases, so get your child into the habit of oral hygiene even before their teeth erupt.

Milk teeth, although temporary, are just as important as permanent teeth, as they help the child to speak, ensure the space and alignment of permanent teeth and have an aesthetic function, which is fundamental in the development of the child’s self-esteem.

Most tooth decay in children is caused by poor hygiene, particularly in the molar grooves, where food debris accumulates.

To prevent cavities from developing, sealants should be used, which are a layer of resin applied to the chewing surface of the tooth to protect it from bacterial attack.

Breastfeeding favours the harmonious formation of the child’s dental arch.

Children who are breastfed for at least 6 months are less likely to suck their thumbs or have a dummy.

If you offer your baby a dummy, give preference to orthodontic ones and don’t let this custom continue after the age of 3.

Don’t sweeten juices, teas, milk or other drinks with sugar or honey.

Remember that all adults bear the traces of the child they once were.

YOUR DENTIST

We have a team specialising in paediatric dentistry, which is the area dedicated to treating children’s teeth.

Paediatric dentists have highly qualified training focused on children’s oral health problems.

They also have more capacity and experience in situations where children are more afraid of visits to the dentist.

DENTIST'S CHEQUES

You can now use your dentist’s cheque at our clinic.

All you have to do is buy it at your health centre by asking your family doctor, or through the school you attend (in the case of children), bearing in mind that these will only be available to all children who study in public schools, all pregnant women who are followed by their family doctor and the elderly who receive a solidarity supplement.

SPECIALISED EQUIPMENT

Now your child’s crying and stress in the dentist’s chair are a thing of the past.

Conscious Sedation (Nitrous Oxide)

Conscious sedation is a safe and effective treatment, making dental treatment considerably more pleasant.
This method is already used in several countries, as it poses no danger to health.
It is important to emphasise that during conscious sedation the patient is awake and able to communicate verbally with the doctor.
Using this method is usually a pleasant experience for patients, avoiding stress and crying, especially for younger patients.

Paediatric Space
Now your child’s visit to the dentist can be more fun, because we’ve created a space with an appropriate environment so that the stress associated with the dental chair disappears.
